A Weekend in Florida

About three years ago, two of my dearest friends moved to Florida. I was extremely saddened by this endeavor...it meant no more family dinners, no more golf outings, no more Sunday night football. However I was also very excited for them and the new chapter in their life. This past weekend I was able to pay them a visit for an extended weekend. It was an amazing trip!

Friday I arrived in the later afternoon and we took a walk to the beach. Amanda and Ryan recently moved and their townhouse is just a short walk away. Along with some of Amanda's family, we headed downtown for dinner and drinks. We then ventured to this really cool brewery where we proceeded to play Corn hole (or as some of you may call it, Baggo) for about two hours.
Saturday we all participated in the golf tournament. Amanda and Ryan started an Non-Profit Adaptive Golf organization. This was their first fundraiser tournament and it was a great success. Though it was very hot, we all had a great time. I even won the longest drive contest...who knew??
Sunday we had a delicious breakfast at a local cafe. I had huevos rancheros with charizo sausage which was absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed mimosas as well. The rest of the day we took it easy. We walked through the art show downtown for a bit and then headed back to the house and hung by the pool. The rest of the evening was spent making dinner and watching movies, just like the old days!

Monday was a relaxing day spent at the beach and poolside. It was a beautiful, but very very hot day. That evening we headed out for Happy Hour at this restaurant Ryan's coworkers had recommended. This place was great, I will actually be posting a separate review to illustrate just how great it was.

All in all, I had an amazing time with great friends!
